Activities

Beit Warszawa takes into account that a vast majority of Jews living in Poland is only starting to discover their roots. Consequently, the association’s main goal is to familiarize them with the Jewish religion, history, tradition and thought.

Our community celebrates Shabbat and Jewish Holy Days, supports cultural events, organizes get-togethers, lectures, exhibitions and concerts. All prayers are conducted in Hebrew (with available transliteration) and are translated to Polish and English.

Shabbat and Holy Day celebrations are officiated by visiting rabbis and rabbinical students, and by Beit Warszawa members themselves.

Holy Day celebrations: Shabbat and Holy Day celebrations are attended not only by Beit Warszawa members but also very often by local and foreign guests and sympathizers. Many are rabbis, cantors, rabbinical students and representatives of international Jewish organizations.

Educational programs : Beit Warszawa offers a gamut of lectures and workshops on various topics associated with Judaism. Many are led by visiting rabbis and rabbinical students. We also run Hebrew language classes, Israeli dance get-togethers, a Shabbat school for children, Torah study sessions and two series of lectures on Judaism and the Holocaust.

You will find a detailed report on Beit Warszawa activities conducted since 2002 in the Archives section.
